Who it is for
People whose process is part of the value.
The At Work Session is designed for makers, artists, food producers, tradespeople, independent businesses, nonprofits, activists, organizers, and community organizations. It works best when there is real activity to photograph and a clear place the finished images need to be used.
This is not a large advertising production, conventional corporate headshot session, or a request for people to perform a false version of their work.
Before the session
We define what needs to be visible.
Tell me what work is happening, who may be photographed, what must remain private, and where the photographs will be used. I will confirm whether the session length fits and identify the few scenes needed to make the collection complete.
During the session, I photograph the work as it unfolds and step in for a working portrait or necessary detail when it helps. Subjects retain meaningful agency, and a visually strong photograph does not stay in the collection if it misrepresents what happened.
